Child Dental Benefit Schedule

The Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) is an Australian Government program that provides access up to $1,000 in benefits per child over 2 consecutive calendar years. We at The Avenue Dental embrace the CDBS program and we can bulk bill all dental treatment for eligible children.

Who is eligible for CDBS?

From January 2014, eligible families, teenagers and approved care organisations will receive a letter to confirm eligibility. Your child is eligible when:

• they are aged between 2 and 17 for at least 1 day of the calendar year
• they are eligible for Medicare
• you or they get an eligible payment at least once that year.

A child or teenager's eligibility is assessed at the beginning of each calendar year and is valid for the whole of that calendar year.
